Robert Wade Miller

Robert Wade Miller, age 59 of Spring Avenue, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday evening, May 2, 2018 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born May 5, 1958 in Moorefield, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Miller, Jr. and Virginia Mae McBride Miller and a grandson to the late Bernice Lambert and Edith McBride. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sharon L. (Fleckenstein) Miller; a daughter, Lauren, and her husband, Scott Butler of Washington, DC; his aunts, Betty Webster, Betty Dunn, Janet Catsonis, Betty Leedy, and Susie McBride, along with many cousins, good friends, and his Himalayan cat, Tee-Tee. Rob was the nicest, most caring person in the world and the most kind-hearted man you'd ever meet. He loved to work in his yard, fish, and spend time with his family and close friends, and he had passion for cars and driving. From his teens through adulthood, Rob was a very talented basketball player, golfer, and pool player. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father, and he was loved so much by so many people. Robs wish was to be cremated without any public services. His family will celebrate his life privately at a later date.
