Robert Edward Studley

Robert Edward Studley, age 83 of Moorefield, WV, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and accomplished pianist, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023, at E.A. Hawse Healthcare Center in Baker, WV. He was born on December 12, 1939, in Providence, RI, to parents Albert Joseph Studley and Rita Alice Murtha Studley who instilled in him a love for knowledge and a passion for technology.

Throughout his life, Robert's dedication to learning and growth led him to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, catapulting him into a successful career as a Computer Specialist.

Outside of his professional life, Robert cherished the time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Karen Eadie Studley, sharing countless precious memories and experiences over their years together. Their unwavering bond was a source of strength and support for both.

As a father, Robert held a special place in his heart for his daughters, Kimberly Dronenburg, whom preceded him in death and Kelly Villalobos, together they brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Their relationship was one built on love, respect, and endless support as he encouraged them to follow their dreams; nurturing a close-knit circle that lovingly extended to his cherished grandchildren, Tricia Poe, Geoffrey Poe, Cassie Villalobos, and Sammy Villalobos. Their lives were brightened further by his great-great-grandchildren, Brianna, Ava, and Logan.

As we mourn the loss of Robert Edward Studley, we celebrate a life filled with love, achievement, and a passion for learning and music. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. May his legacy inspire us to embrace each day with curiosity, kindness, and an unwavering drive to make the world a better place.

A Service of Remembrance to honor Robert's life will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Harold George officiant. Family and friends are invited to gather to commemorate his life and offer their condolences from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
