Ruth Miller Barr

Ruth Miller Barr, age 91 of Fisher, WV passed away Tuesday July 20, 2004 at her daughter?s residence. Born May 12, 1913 in Lost City, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Lillian (Marshall) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Victor Barr, a son and a daughter. Surviving is a daughter, Bette Weatherholt of Fisher,WV; two sisters; Evelyn Shipe of the Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg, WV and Lois Kennedy of Laurel, DE; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barr was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. She was a Sunday School Teacher & Treasurer at the Oak Dale Presbyterian Chapel, a member of the Community Education Outreach Service (CEOS) and local 4-H. Funeral Services were conducted Friday July 23, 2004 at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren with Pastor J. Rogers Fike & Pastor Otis ?Buzz? Weatherholt officiating. Internment followed at the Newhouse Cemetery at Rig, WV. Memorials may be directed to Grant Memorial Hospice at P.O.
