Ruth Klotzsch Shields

Ruth Klotzsch Shields, age 98 of Potato Ridge Rd, Moorefield, WV passed away Saturday morning, January 24, 2015 at the residence of her daughter. She was born on January 18, 1917 in Germany, a daughter of the late Erwin Klotzsch and Margaret (Thierfelder) Klotzsch. A creative person whom was described as artsy, she was the long time care giver of her son, Dudley. She and her late husband, Dudley Joseph Shields, whom passed away in November 2001, operated a mom and pop grocery store in Chevy Chase, MD for many years. Surviving is her son, Dudley Erwin Shields of Moorefield, WV, along with her daughter with whom she resided, Margo McKinney-Miles of Moorefield, WV. Husband and wife are together again and private family services will be held at a later date.
