Scotty Eugene Funkhouser

Scotty Eugene ?Gene? Funkhouser, age 75 of Mt Olive Road, Kirby, WV, passed away Monday evening, July 9, 2012 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born April 22, 1937 in Needmore, WV, he was the son of the late Winfield S. & Nora V. (Park) Funkhouser. He was a US Army veteran, a member of the Bean Settlement Ruritan, a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #100 and a member of the NRA. A son, Scotty; a daughter, Sharon, two brothers, ?Tim? & Stanley and two sisters Eunice & Mary preceded him in death. Surviving is a daughter, Robin Thomason of Walkersville, MD; four sisters, Glee Kasper of Frederick, MD, Mazie Plummer of McLean, VA, Nova Funk of Kirby, WV and Nina McDonald of Gaithersburg, MD; a grandson, Tyler Thomason and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St. with Pastor Jay Parkins officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the Moorefield Veteran?s Honor Guard at the Asbury Cemetery, Bean Settlement. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
