Solomon Gipson Shockey

Solomon Gipson Shockey, age 91 of Shockeyville Lane, Old Fields, WV passed away Friday evening, August 8, 2003 at his residence. Born April 20, 1912 in Hardy Co., WV he was a son of the late James Robert & Margaret Ann (Meyers) Shockey. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura Elizabeth (Lewis) Shockey in February 1977. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, a son, two sisters and five brothers. Surviving is a son, William Shockey of Old Fields, WV; a daughter, Pearl Champ and husband Randy of Arthur, WV and three grandsons. Funeral Services were conducted Monday, August 11, 2003 at the Fraley Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Spaid officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields, WV.
