Vandlyn Lorena Cost

Vandlyn Lorena Cost, age 73 of Moorefield WV, passed away Sunday evening, January 18, 2026, at Genesis Pierpont Center Nursing Home in Fairmont WV. Born on November 12, 1952, in Prince George’s County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Coolidge Arbaugh and Zona Mae Wimer Arbaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband Danny E. Cost in April 2020, two brothers and one sister. 

Surviving are two sons, Jerry Cost (Monica) and Mike Cost, two daughters Sherry Helmick and Freda Likens and a grandson whom she raised as her own, Roy Wells (Alicia). She is also survived by three brothers, Kenny Arbaugh (Deby), Danny Arbaugh (Debra), Steve Arbaugh (Donna), and one sister Joyce Wilt; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
