Virginia Armeda Smith

Virginia Armeda Smith, age 82 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, January 30, 2012 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. She was born on September 12, 1929 in Hardy Co., WV, a daughter of the late Florence (Kline) Conard and step-daughter of the late Stacey Conard, Sr. A brother preceded her in death. Virginia had retired as a cook from Hardy County Schools after 28 years. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Charles Smith, Sr.; a son, Charles Smith, Jr. of Moorefield, WV; three sisters, Geraldine Jordan of Wardensville, WV, Margaret Orndorff of Baker, WV and June Parker of Raleigh, NC; and a step-brother, Stacey Conard, Jr of Montana. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
