William Franklin McKinley

William Franklin McKinley, Sr. age 80 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday afternoon, November 11, 2016 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. He was born on August 9, 1936 in Frostburg, MD a son of the late George McKinley, Sr. and Laverna Elizabeth (Sigmire) McKinley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. A heavy equipment operator for many years, he retired in 1986 from the coal mines, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and camping. Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Shirley Jean (Moats) McKinley; a son, William F. Billy McKinley, Jr. of Raeford, NC; two daughters, Crystal Diana Carroll of Mt. Vernon, TX and Cathy Jane McKinley of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Joann Craig of Martinsburg, WV; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Dan Howard officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of services.
