Nancy Belle McNeill

Nancy Belle Summerfield McNeill, age 80 of Old Fields, left this earth on Sunday morning November 9, 2008. Born on December 23, 1927 in Bowden, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Ellen Wyatt and Dayton Gordon Austin Summerfield. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Vause McNeill on March 20, 1982. Two infant brothers, and a sister, Margaret Fawley, also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons; Edward "Butch" McNeill and wife Joyce of Moorefield, WV & Gary "Mitch" McNeill and wife Rhonda of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Thelma Pudder of Howell, NJ & Ina "Sis" Pudder of Englishtown, NY; two grandsons, Edward McNeill & Joseph McNeill; two step-grandsons, Steve Bosley & George Cost; three step-granddaughters, Melody Zirk, Susie Eckerd, and Rachel Baker and several step-great grandchildren. Nancy worked at Harper?s Motel, Evans? Motel, and Rockingham Poultry. She ran McNeill?s News Agency and operated Pine Ridge Evergreens?s greenhouses. For the last 40 years, she has been best known for her Christmas wreaths and floral arrangements. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Larry Cantu officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Tuesday.
